Justin Bieber tops Kim Kardashian as most-searched person of 2011

Justin Bieber has overtaken Kim Kardashian as the most-searched person in 2011, according to the search engine Bing. Looks like Kim just can't get a break. Kardashian was the queen of search last year, but the combination of Bieber's My World 2.0 Tour , hit concert movie " Justin Bieber: Never Say Never ," "Saturday Night Live" hosting job, Christmas album, romance with Selena Gomez and the little matter of the now-pulled paternity suit over Mariah Yeater's baby were enough to push him to the top spot. Meanwhile, Kardashian launched a new reality show, "Kourtney and Kim Take New York," got married and got divorced. It was quite a lot, but not enough to stop Bieber fever. Several notable names dropped out of the top 10 this year, including Sandra Bullock and Jesse James. But President Obama may have fallen the furthest. In 2010, was the No. 5 most-searched person. In 2011, he was No. 49. Two people who got huge boosts in 2011 were Gomez, who w

Justin Bieber Puts His Spin On The Christmas Sweater

Photo: Getty Images Looks like our boy Justin Bieber tried his hand at a seasonal stand-by performing alongside Usher last Wednesday, and no, we're not talking about "The Christmas Song." Along with the resurfacing of seasonal favorites like peppermint and gingerbread and the crisp scent of conifers, the kick-off of the holiday season also ushers in the annual heyday of the ugly Christmas sweater . Oft thought of as relegated to groggy-eyed pajama-clad present openings, sloppy gatherings dripping with eggnog, or your most beloved rosy-cheeked elementary school teacher's themed wardrobe, the classic ugly Christmas sweater is also a favorite performance outfit for many a celeb , including the Biebs. To be fair, though, we're actually going to drop the "ugly" modifier when dicussing Bieber's foray into the ho

Justin Bieber's "Mistletoe" Tells a Holiday Love Story [VIDEO]

Justin Bieber is set to spread some holiday cheer; and he has accomplished just that (at least for millions of teenage girls around the world) by releasing a music video for the first single off his new Christmas album "Mistletoe." The video for "Mistletoe" tells the story of Bieber and a pretty brunette who have had a romantic history. But Bieber is constantly surrounded by other girls and the brunette feels shunned. Of course it involves Bieber singing in the snow and comes complete with a happy ending. The single is off Bieber's Christmas album "Under the Mistletoe" which dropped on Nov. 1 and skyrocketed to No. 1. Another song from the album is "All I Want for Christmas is You (SuperFestive)," a cover of Mariah Carey's hit from the 1990s. Rumor has it that the video for this song will feature an appearance by Ms. Mariah Carey herself, along with Nick Cannon and their new family. Like us on Facebook The two shot the video in New York

Justin Bieber Targeted For Elimination Online

Image
. Justin Bieber Targeted For Elimination Online was a top 11 story of 2011 for August. Here is the recap: (TMZ) Justin Bieber has been victimized by a brand new cyber-enemy ... an enemy who found a way to get every single one of JB's official music videos REMOVED from YouTube. It sounds so simple -- a YouTube user who goes by the name iLCreation submitted a copyright claim on each of Bieber's videos ... including the "Baby" video which has over 600 MILLION views. YouTube has a yank first, ask questions later policy when a copyright claim is made -- so they simply pulled the videos off the site ... until the dispute is resolved. iLCreation also went after a few Lady Gaga videos -- but only a few of her videos are missing in action. Bieber's VEVO channel (a dedicated site for music videos) has been completely wiped out for the time being ... but a rep for VEVO tells us, "Someone is making false copyright claims against the Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga channels

Justin Bieber Forgets the Lyrics to Santa Clause is Coming to Town During Today Show Performance

Saturday, November 26th 2011 | Leave a Comment Justin Bieber accidentally flubbed the lyrics to the popular Christmas tune Santa Clause is Coming to Town while performing on the Today show this week. The young Pop star, joined by his mentor Usher , made an appearance on NBCs Today Wednesday morning (Nov 23) and performed a few songs from his newly released Christmas album. During his performance of Santa Clause is Coming to Town, the 17-year-old entertainer blanked out midway through and forgot the lyrics to the song, simply simply repeating the lines Hes making a list and He sees you when youre sleeping to fill in the gaps. Instead of singing He sees you when youre sleeping, the Biebz accidentally sang Hes making a list. Then, when he was supposed to say You better watch out, once again, he said Hes making a list. At one point, Bieber, dressed in a festive red and cream snow flake-patterned sweater worth $1,650 and jeans that sagged below his waistline, just let the backing track

Although previous reports suggested that Yeater was hesitant to have the baby tested as well, (since a false match would be serious evidence against her if Biebers team ever decided to sue) Yeaters attorney, Jeffery Leving, told TMZ today that his client was not avoiding the DNA test, and cant wait to compare the babys DNA with Biebers. Bieber, for his part, appears to be moving on and continuing with teen-pinup business as usual. Justin Bieber: Truth and consequences from paternity testing

( Valerie Macon / AFP/Getty Images ) By Amina Khan, Los Angeles Times / For the Booster Shots blog November 23, 2011 , 5:35 p.m. Justin Bieber has said on ABC's "The View" that he's taken a DNA test to show that he's not the father of Mariah Yeater's child -- even though Yeater has withdrawn the paternity suit against the "Baby" singer. I didnt have to do it, I did it because I wanted to, he said on the show . I wanted everything to be out in the open. That attitude seems in line with the message from companies offering DNA tests. According to an article by The Times' Karen Kaplan , one company offered a Father's Day discount, suggesting that "a paternity test can be 'a gift of peace of mind.'" Nicely spun. Bieber was willing, but in the event that a father can'! t

Justin Bieber takes paternity test, with clothes on

LOS ANGELES - Teen idol Justin Bieber says he has taken a paternity test to prove he did not father a child with a 20-year-old woman as she was said Wednesday to be ready to have her baby DNA tested. And the Canadian singing sensation says he kept his clothes on for the test. "It's pretty crazy. People make up false accusations. It's gonna happen, being in the spotlight," the 17-year-old told the Late Show with David Letterman on CBS. The talk show host empathized with Bieber, saying he "saw red" when he read about the accusations by Mariah Yeater, adding: "I could smell a weasel." "I can smell a weasel, too," replied Bieber. Bieber told Letterman that he had taken a DNA test to prove he hadn't fathered a child with Yeater, adding that it involved doctors taking a swab sample from his mouth. "Is there disrobing?" Letterman asked jokingly, to which Bieber, initially perplexed, replied: "No, no, I don't think so!&quo

Related: Cue the Kate Middleton Pregnancy Talk Though Mariah Yeater has dropped her paternity lawsuit against golden nymph-boy Justin Bieber, she still plans to submit her baby for DNA testing. All this according to her "legal team," because everyone in America has a legal team these days. Bieber himself has already taken a paternity test , but Yeater's lawyers don't fully trust the results, as no one from Yeater's family was present at the time of the test. So who knows, something exciting could yet still come of all this. Most exciting, probably, is when in 18 years this child goes onto their nano wrist computer and does a Bing search (ha, it won out in the end! somehow!) and finds this whole story and reads about itself and realizes its mom is maybe not the best.
