Justin Bieber Fresno tickets go on sale Saturday

Tickets for Justin Bieber's Oct. 5 concert at the Save Mart Center go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Saturday, and all indications are that Fresno should expect Bieber Fever to rise to a Black Friday-like frenzy. "We fully expect it to sell out quickly," says Steve Tadlock, the general manager for SMG, which manages the arena. "Probably within a matter of minutes." Tickets have been available through exclusive pre-sales since the concert was announced last week. For instance, joining the Justin Bieber fan club ($27 quarterly or $99 annually) got people first crack at tickets. There was also a pre-sale for American Express card holders, which has since sold out. By Saturday morning, a nice piece of the Bieber ticket pie will be long gone. But Tadlock promises: "There definitely will be tickets available for the public." While pre-sales have been "strong," according to Tadlock -- he said he couldn't divulge actual numbers -- there's a

Justin Bieber to star in prime-time network special

Image
The Justin Bieber celebrity train isn't slowing down. The pop singer's new album comes out June 15 and one week later, he's set to star in his first prime-time network TV special: "Justin Bieber: All Around the World" on NBC. The format of the special is a mix of behind-the-scenes documentary footage and live performances from Bieber's seven-country, 12-day promotional tour for the new album, titled "Believe." (Why not "Beliebe"?) If that sounds familiar, it's virtually the same format as Bieber's big-screen film from last year, "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never," which followed the Bieb's tour to promote his previous album. But the near-identical nature of the films doesn't mean that the march of progress has completely passed Bieber. The new NBC special will feature one technological innovation known as the "Justin-Cam," which will give viewers a look at life through the eyes of Justin Bieber. The second

Kanye West had his "G.O.O.D. Friday" series, in which he released a single from his label every Friday, starting in August 2010. Can we now similarly look forward to Justin Bieber album previews all month? With his new tune, "Die In Your Arms," the barely legal pop juggernaut ramps up anticipation for his second album, "Believe," with the next in a series of pre-release singles. The first one, "Boyfriend," was a minimal sliver of futurist R&B indebted to Justin Timberlake and the Neptunes. But "Die In Your Arms" has a throwback filament glow that recalls the Jackson 5 and Motown at its most teen-friendly (which means -- it's really, really good). "Believe" is out June 19, and if these two tracks are any indication, Biebs has hit that difficult sweet spot of maturing sonically and vocally without losing the doe-eyed charm of his early tween-demolishing singles. Plenty of recent teenage pop stars, from Miley Cyrus to Bri

Justin Bieber Releases 'Die In Your Arms' Track: Listen

As a final kiss-off to the Memorial Day weekend, Justin Bieber has offered another taste of his much-anticipated new album, "Believe." "Die In Your Arms" was released to iTunes at midnight on Tuesday morning (May 29). Scooter Braun, Bieber's manager, described the song on Twitter as carrying an "Old School Jackson 5 vibe," and compared to "Believe's" lead single, the rhythmic "Boyfriend," "Die In Your Arms" is a more classically arranged pop offering. "If there's a lesson/Then baby, teach me to behave," Bieber croons over piano flourishes and a steady beat before the soaring, lovelorn chorus returns. 'Boyfriend' Remix: 2 Chainz, Mac Miller, Asher Roth Rework Justin Bieber

If you happen to be a fan of the hook on Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend" but not his "swag, swag, swag on you" rap verses, 2 Chainz, Mac Miller and Asher Roth have a special song for you. The rappers teamed up to remix Bieber's Hot 100 hit, each tackling a verse in the new version that was released on Thursday night (May 24). 2 Chainz starts it off with a few lines that rival Bieber's "I'ma make you shine bright, like you're laying in the snow/Brr" in terms of sheer absurdity, as he hollers, "I told her let's kick it!/Karate!" Miller may be the most on-point of the three, while Roth, who shares manager Scooter Braun with Bieber, is a little scandalous than the Biebs as he describes "Kisses to the forehead, and I slide my hands to second." Justin Bieber fans in Vancouver in disbelief over apparent tour snub

TORONTO - Vancouver-based Justin Bieber fans were in disbelief on Thursday after the 18-year-old pop star announced an extensive North American tour that didn't include a local stop. In support of his upcoming third disc "Believe," Bieber will kick off a nearly four-month trek on Sept. 29 in Glendale, Ariz., with stops planned in Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto's cavernous Rogers Centre. Fans online were even more disappointed given that Bieber's opening act on the tour is Carly Rae Jepsen from nearby Mission, B.C., the breakout pop star behind the No. 1 single "Call Me Maybe." Bieber and Jepsen's manager, Scooter Braun , took to Twitter Wednesday to try to calm outraged fans. "U really think we would put (Jepsen) on the tour and not hit Vancouver?? Sit tight :)," he wrote to his 1.5 million-plus followers. Afterwards, unconfirmed rumours circulated that Bieber would indeed visit Vancouver on Oct. 10
