Justin Bieber Has Shelved Collaborations with Taylor and Kanye, Loves Leather Pants

(Getty)In the months before Justin Bieber released his album Believe, he promised greatness, newfound maturity, and a smattering of high-profile collaborations, hinting that everyone from Ludacris to Nicki Minaj had made their way into his studio. But when the album finally made its debut in June, there were a couple of famous names noticeably absent from the song listings Taylor Swift and Kanye West, to be precise.

Chanel V present Justin Bieber's Exclusive PerformanceYep: The two most talked-about musicians of 2009 failed to make the final cut. According to Bieber's manager Scooter Braun, the Swift collaboration could end up somewhere else. "It didn't go on Believe because there's another record they want to work on," he explained. "So, it just didn't make sense at this time, and the song they did just didn't make sense on this album."

Braun had a similar explanation for why Mr. West didn't make the cut, insisting that the song "didn't make sense at this time." But don't worry, kids. If a B-sides compilation isn't in the works, the trusty Internets will make these songs happen eventually.

Let's talk about what does make sense to Justin at this point: Leather pants, ap! parently . The pop star showed up for an acoustic performance in Sydney, Australia in some very late '90s trousers and a very NKOTB denim jacket on Tuesday. Remember, critics, that Justin wasn't around for the New Kids' heyday and was but a wee babe when The Matrix was in vogue, so he can't be held fully responsible for ensembles like these.
