Tuned In: Justin Bieber Does Not Appreciate Rude Mom Jokes

(Fame FlyNet Pictures)Justin Bieber hung up on a morning show radio host last week, but no one really blames him because the host made a lame, unfunny joke. Rihanna has canceled work commitments to be with her family in Barbados. One of the dudes in ZZ Top thinks his beard is worth more than a million dollars. Adele is probably going to get hitched. Here's the music news.

Justin Bieber has spent a fair chunk of the past 2 or 3 years on the line with interviewers from around the globe, so of course he's well-trained in the art of deflecting an unsavory question. But the Canadian pop star apparently reached his breaking point during a recent conversation with WKQI Detroit's morning radio host Mojo. He cut the interview short following an off-color joke about his mother getting cozy with One Direction's Harry Styles.

Justin's interview with Mojo had already stumbled through truly awkward territory when the Canadian pop star took offense to being told his song "Boyfriend" sounded like Justin Timberlake material. Bieber, who has most certainly heard this a couple dozen times, sniped, "Man, that's crazy because our voices sound nothing alike."

"Saying I sound like someone else is not really a compliment," he added. "I think if you were to say 'I heard some Justin Timberlake-esque things in your sound,' I would take that as a compliment."

But the true yikes moment came a few minutes later, when Mojo asked about Bieber's friendship with UK boy band One Direction.

When Mojo asked if Bieber was worried about noted cougar-seeker Harry Styles macking on his mom, Bieber countered, "I dont' think you should worry about me [and my mom and Harry] worry about your own mom, bro." When Mojo said his mother was dead, Bieber hung up.

What can be learned fro! m this? Bieber may have supernatural powers when it comes to making teenage girls feel good about themselves, but at the end of the day, he's just an 18-year-old kid who's likely sick of talking about himself. Still, in a post-interview rundown, Mojo explained that Bieber's girlfriend Selena Gomez had made the joke about Harry moving in on their moms so maybe Justin needs to rethink his hypersensitivity.

Rihanna will not perform at Brazil's Rock in Rio festival this year, as she's chosen to return to Barbados to mourn the death of her grandmother, Dolly. On Tuesday morning, the pop star tweeted a picture of herself about to board a private plane with the caption, "Coming home to squeeze ya mama."

Though Rihanna was supposed to stay in Europe through the end of the summer, her trip home sounds much-needed. On Sunday, she took the stage at Sweden's Peace & Love music festival just hours after her grandmother's death for a set that was described as "shaky" at best and "disgusting" at worst.

ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons told Brave Worlds ! that he and Dusty Hill turned down a $1 million offer to shave their beards in 1984. That's a $2.25 million shave in today's dollars. Gibbons explained, "The prospect of seeing oneself in the mirror clean-shaven is too close to a Vincent Price film ... a prospect not to be contemplated, no matter the compensation."

Adele's pregnant, so of course someone had to cobble together a story about how her boyfriend is planning to propose. It happened to be Us Weekly, who finagled an anonymous source (maybe the staff writer's mom?) into saying that Adele's baby daddy, Simon Konecki, was "planning to propose anyway!"

Just in time for July 4, Santigold has unveiled the music video for "The Keepers," in which a terrifying crew of Stepford Wives tapdance around a host of horrifying occurrences.
