Justin Biebers mom is adding one more title to her name: Executive Producer. She signed on post-production as executive producer of Crescendo a movie based on famous composer Beethovens mother, and her struggle with suicide and being a single mother. In a recent interview, the X Factor stars mom talked about how the movie doesnt imply her stand on abortion. Pattie also talks about being a single mother herself, and her struggles before embracing Christianity. What did she say? Keep reading to find out!
Pattie Mallette was 17 and unwed when she found out she was pregnant by Jeremy Bieber. When she was kicked out of the family home, she found herself at a pregnancy center in Canada. While Justins mom isnt coming out on her stance regarding abortion, she does talk about her struggles with a suicide attempt, pressures to have an abortion, along with battling substance abuse issues in her autobiography, Nowhere But Up. She wants to make the record clear, however, that her stance hasnt influenced the production of the movie. The press has been saying that Im producing an anti-abortion film and taking this big stance. You know, I havent shared my stance with anyone and Im not here to make a political statement, so theres been a lot of assumptions made.
Crescendo is set to hit theaters on Feb. 28th, and Patti hopes that she can donate $10 million to pregnancy crisis centers with profits from the movie. The pregnancy center that I lived in is now closed because of lack of funds, so I thought it was a really important thing that theyre doing to raise money.
Do you think Crescendo will do well in the theaters? Will you see it? Let us know in the comments!
