Justin Bieber's Life May Become ABC Sitcom

What's so funny about Justin Bieber? We may find out next fall if a single-camera sitcom in development makes its way onto air.

According to TV Guide, the untitled show was set up at the network last year and never made it out of development, but has been revived and is under consideration again for the 2013-14 season.

The show would be executive produced by Bieber and his manager, Scooter Braun, as well as executive producers Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi ("Entourage"), who are writing the script. The family show would center on Bieber's life before he got famous, focusing on his awkward teenage years and his unorthodox family.

The 18-year-old pop supernova was born in London, Ontario, to a teenage mother and his parents never married. Mother Patricia Mallette raised Justin on her own with the help of her mother and JB taught himself how to play piano, drums and guitar as a child. When he was 12, his mother posted a YouTube video of him singing Ne-Yo's "Sick" at a local singing competition, and followed with a number of similar clips that helped draw the attention of Braun as well as eventual mentor, Usher.

It's unclear if Bieber will actually appear on the show, but the singer has logged a bit of time on TV already, including a guest spot on "CSI," a hosting gig on MTV's "Punk'd," appearances on "Saturday Night Live" and last year's Christmas special, "Justin Bieber: All Around the World."

JB made news on Friday when he confirmed that he'll be releasing an un! plugged EP, Believe Acoustic, on January 29. The disc will feature seven songs and a bonus track, with details about which tunes will make the final cut due in the next few weeks.
