Drake, Justin Bieber, and Nickelback earn nods for 2012 Juno Awards

On Tuesday, Canadas Juno Awards announced its 2012 nominees, with nods going to famed Canadian natives Drake, Justin Bieber, and Nickelback.

Drake and Bieber scored nominations for the Album of the Year category, which also includes Avril Lavigne's Goodbye Lullabye and Nickelback's Here and Now. The category includes two holiday hits, Bieber's Under the Mistletoe and Michael Buble's Christmas.

Nominees for the International Album of the Year category include Adele, Coldplay, Lady Gaga, LMFAO, and Rihanna.

Artist of the Year nominees include City and Colour, Deadmau5, Drake, Feist and Michael Buble, while Group of the Year includes Arkells, Down with Webster, Hedley, Sam Roberts Band, and Nickelback.

Grammy Award winning Arcade Fire is up for the Fan Choice awards, alongside Lavigne, Bieber, Drake and others.

The 2012 ceremony, hosted by William Shatner, will be held on April 1 in Ottawa.

Coming up on February 12, The Grammy Awards will take place in Los Angeles, California, with performances by nominees Adele, Katy Perry, Paul McCartney, Rihanna, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj, Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson, and Taylor Swift.

In the UK, Adele is also set to take the stage at the 2012 Brit Awards ceremony to be held at London's O2 Arena on February 21.
