Justin Bieber boos Prince William's thinning hair

LOS ANGELES - The Brits might lose their ability to keep calm and carry on, what! with al l the dissing they're getting from across the pond. The latest culprit: Justin Bieber, the boy with all that hair, who made fun of Prince William's balding noggin.

Maybe the Bieb thought his own helmet gives him license to joke, or he forgot that William is 30 and he's only 18. Maybe he thought no one would notice his comments in a British music magazine, Rolla Coaster. Whatever. The Canadian kid said he couldn't understand why William didn't do something about his thinning hair.

"I mean, there are things to prevent that nowadays, like Propecia," Bieber said, according to British and American media reports. "You just take Propecia and your hair grows back. Have you not got it over here?" He did not explain why he even knows about Propecia.

William's dark blond hair, so different from his ginger-haired brother, Prince Harry, is one of his less attractive Windsor inheritances: His father and grandfather, Prince Charles and Prince Philip, and his uncles started showing similar bald spots at relatively early ages, too.

Only last week, when Republican presidential nominee-in-waiting Mitt Romney went to London and said some awkward things about the preparations for the Olympics, the hypersensitive British tabloids were furious. "Mitt the Twit" snarked The Sun.

They were not amused by Bieber's lese-majeste, but so far no "Bieber the Bozo" headlines. "Smug," sniffed the Daily Mail, which retaliated today with a hilarious series of pictures of royals with a Bieber bob photo-shopped onto their heads.
