Justin Bieber is ready to drop some knowledge on pop star wannabes, and they'd probably do well to listen to him. Plus, Kim Kardashian wants to be the first reality TV personality to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, General Hospital is losing a veteran soap star, and Robert Pattinson thinks Twilight would make a good television show. So do a lot of TV execs, probably.

Justin Bieber knows a thing or two about launching a successful pop music career, and now he's ready to share that knowledge with the world via The X Factor. This week the Biebs joined X Factor judge L.A. Reid as a celebrity mentor for his contestants. It's worth noting that Justin wore some sort of sleeveless, hooded dress and leather pants combo for the occasion (see photo above). Kids these days.

"Long day but great day," Bieber tweeted Monday. "@LA_Reid @ScooterBraun just like old times!"

Fellow one-time teen idol Nick Jonas will reportedly join Demi Lovato to help mentor her contestants. There's no word on who Britney Spears and Simon Cowell have tapped to lend their expertise. The X Factor launches its revamped second season on We! dnesday, Sept. 12 at 8/7c on Fox.

General Hospital veteran Steve Burton, who has played rich-boy-turned-mobster Jason Quartermaine for 21 years, has decided to leave the soap. [GH has] been nothing but a huge positive in my life and for my family. I have no complaints, no negative feelings at all. But its time to go, Burton told TV Guide. Im going to take some time off and do nothing but relax, just enjoy life a little bit with my wife and kids.

Burton also has plans to explore other opportunities as an actor and director. He's already developing a project with former GH EP Jill Farren Phelps and one-time GH costar James Franco that would star Burton and Franco. His expected final tape date is Sept. 25th. How would you like to see Jason Quartermaine go out? Riding off into the sunset with Sam? Hit the comments with your dream scenarios!

Dallas is also looking to cast a beautiful blond 20-something named Emma Brown, who has grown up privileged but is attracted to forbidden people and places. Dallas will return for its second season sometime next year.
