Selena Gomez (Bauer Griffin) On Wednesday, a reps for Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez dispelled rumors that the teen pop phenoms were engaged. It's not like the rumors came out of nowhere: Ms. Gomez was photographed this week wearing a diamond ring on her left hand. And we'd also like to point out that Justin did say he wanted to get married by the age of 25.Alas, Jelena fans will probably have to wait a few more years for that to happen. Now the question is: Why the heck would Selena wear a ring on that finger knowing the message it conveys?
It's not like she's the first star to do this: Lindsay Lohan generated a lot of press for "engagement rings" once upon a time, as has Britney Spears. But it's not as if Selena's relationship needs any more publicity.
