Justin Bieber has been forced to keep his beloved sports car off the road after the vehicle's number plate went missing.

The Baby hitmaker was given the Fisker Karma, a luxury sports hybrid, by his manager Scooter Braun and mentor Usher for his 18th birthday back in March, but he is now not allowed to drive the vehicle until the back plate is replaced.

A property manager working at the star's California home noticed the licence plate was missing on Saturday and called local police to report the problem, according to TMZ.com.

It is not clear whether the plate fell off or was stolen.
