Justin Biebers Manager Signs Gangnam Style Rapper Psy To Contract [Video]

Scooter Braun, Justin Biebers manager, has apparently signed South Korean rapper Psy (Park Jae-Sang) to a recording contract. Psy made the smash hit Gangnam Style video which has logged over 123 million hits on YouTube.

Scooter Braun made the announcement, appropriately enough, on YouTube (see video below). After hanging out in California for four days and becoming friends, Braun said that he and Psy had come to an agreement to make some history together, and that Psy will be the first Korean artist to [make] a big record in the United States.

To mark the moment in history, Scooter Braun and Psy downed some high-octane Korean booze.

The video does not elaborate on the details on the arrangement, but according to the New York Times, Psy has signed a contract with Mr. Brauns record company, Schoolboy, which is associated with Universals Interscope label.

Gangnam referenced in the title of the Psy video is one of Seouls trendiest neighborhoods something like Beverly Hills, California. As Time previously explained, Much of the video feat! ures PSY riding an invisible horse through the streets of the Seouls Gangnam district, which gives you a pretty good sense of the clips tongue-in-cheek vibe. The Wall Street Journal added that On Gangnam Style, Psy raps about the ideal girlfriend one who is a smart and conscientious during the day and sexy and fun at night.

Given that Psy has reached an agreement with Justin Biebers manager, this may give further credence to the rumor that Justin Bieber wants to record his own version of Gangnam Style.
