Bieber Tweet Overwhelms Dallas Grandmother With Frenzied Fans

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The endless ringing of DilcieFlemings home phone had the Dallas great-grandmother calling for help. It was just one after the other. Id hang up and it would ring, recalled Fleming.

It all started last week when pop star, Justin Bieber, tweeted call me right now at and then added a phone number with the Dallas area code, 214.

The problem is, Bieber typed a question mark in place of the last digit. And it turns out that number was pretty darn close toFlemings home number.

So when delirious Bieber fans started dialing different digits, dozens ofthe errant callers found their way ontoFlemings answering machine. Hi, Im just looking for Justin Bieber, giggled one female fan.

Another message was left by a hopeless romantic. Justin, I know youre there and I love you so much. Im sorry I called you so late, I just got your number. I love you, I love,I love you so much. Please call me back, begged another girl.

There were more than just messages on Flemings machine. The 81-year-oldanswered many of the calls herself. I told one young lady, Do you know where youre calling? She said, Yes, Im calling Justin, explained Fleming. I said this is a Texas extension, she told the young caller.

But good old common sense was no match for Bieber buzz. So the tough-talking Texan doled out some common sense of her own. I did tell one young lady that you just dont realize that he[Justin Bieber]has no interest in you what-so-ever.

Fleming got tired of all the phone calls, so she changed her greeting on her answeri! ng machi ne. Callers were soon greeted with this recording: This is not Justin Biebers phone number. Please do not call again. Thank you.

She may be a great-grandmother, butFleming says sheknows exactly who Justin Bieber is, and has a pretty good idea how he got here. I think hes just a fly-by-night kid making oodles of money off of the people who are calling, said Fleming.

The long-time Dallas resident says it took a few days, but the phone calls from star-struck Bieber fans are finally coming to an end.

Fleming wasnt the onlylocal resident to feel the passion ofBieber buzz. A Dallas man was alsoinundated with phone calls following last weeks tweet.
