Justin Bieber could face battery charges in photographer incident
Los Angeles County prosecutors have set no timetable on when they will decide whether to file criminal charges in an altercation between pop star Justin Bieber and a photographer at a Calabasas shopping mall last month.
Legal experts have said Bieber could face misdemeanor battery charges in the incident, though officials have not said exactly what charges their are considering.
Detectives have been investigating claims by the photographer that Bieber struck him after he snapped photographs of the singer and girlfriend Selena Gomez at the Commons at Calabasas Shopping Center.
The photographer complained of pain and was taken by the Los Angeles County Fire Department to a hospital, where he was treated and released, officials said.
Law enforcements sources had said they were trying to interview both Gomez and Bieber. They said they were also trying to determine whether the photographer provoked Beiber.
Bieber has not commented on the incident.
