Justin Bieber, Kanye West, And More Dudes Wear Warm-Weather Leather Pants

Leather pants + summer is a combination that doesn't often bring about the most pleasant of mental images. Actually, the only images they bring to mind (for the MTV Style staff, at least) make up a constant loop of that episode of Friends wherein Ross tries out a pair of leather pants, overheats, and winds up totally unable to put them back on. Either Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Adam Lambert, and Darren Criss missed that episode or they sincerely believe themselves immune to Ross's plight because all four of these dudes have sported thick, leather pants this month.

Bieber goes for the double whammy, wearing not only leather pants, but also pairs it with a leather jacket. Either this guy doesn't have sweat glands, or Ryan Good rigged this outfit up with built-in air-conditioning because there doesn't seem to be a BEAD of sweat forming on Bieber's brow. It's no secret that Kanye West loves off-season hides and tannins (we ALL saw his leather-laden ! Paris Fa shion Week debut), so seeing him in summer leather pants (also what looks like a leather t-shirt) isn't that surprising, and considering all that totally NOT breathable material, neither are those forearm sweat bands.

Adam Lambert channels glam rock with a more skin-tight, more painted-on looking pair of leather trousers than Yeezy and Bieber. Those over-the-knee wedged boots, though, take the summer leather look to an entirely new level. Glee star Darren Criss goes for a similarly skinny style for his 2012 MuchMusic Video Awards red carpet appearance, but of all four of these daring dudes, his outfit could most easily substituted a different pair of perhaps breezier bottoms. His almost normie dude steez and that raven mop top remind us AGAIN of Ross's infamous date night, leaving us picturing Criss after the show, backdropped against salmon bathroom tiles, legs covered in a paste of baby powder and lotion.
