Justin Bieber to collaborate with One Direction

Justin Bieber will record a track with One Direction for the groups upcoming album.

Bieber said he and the groups members recently hung out and discussed collaborating on a song for the groups next album.

They came over my house and we were just chilling out around the pool and listening to music, Bieber said, according to the Mirror. We were talking about me collaborating with them on a song on their next album. Its gonna be great.

According to NME, the group told Bieber that they would also like to work with Rihanna, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lopez, though Bieber suspected their motivations were less artistic and more personal.

Looking at the smile on the guys faces, I dont think it was all about the music, said Bieber.

Gather.com reports that One Direction, comprised of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, is already in the studio working on the new album. Their debut album, Up All Night, was released in November of last year and did not feature collaborations with outside vocalists.

Bieber has frequently worked with other artists both on his albums and on theirs, including the song Next 2 You off of Chris Browns album F.A.M.E..

A song featuring Beiber and One Direction would likely be a top-seller in the U.S. and U.K. as both acts have had top-10 singles in the U.S. and U.K. and both have had number one albums in the U.S.
