Justin Bieber managed to pull of a hoax to kick off his "Beauty and the Beat" video, but some pranksters on the Internet decided to go a step much further by trying to convince Beliebers their idol was diagnosed with cancer.
That's right, some 4Chan users posted a fake, Photoshopped tweet from Entertainment Tonight, reading: "Pop star Justin Bieber was diagnosed with cancer this morning. Bieber fans are shaving their heads to show support."

Well, this Tweet from Tuesday then set a whole string of weirdness in motion. Some fake tweet from Justin Bieber read (via Billboard): "Several of my AWESOME supporters are shaving their heads to help get me through this! I love my fans! #BaldforBieber." Clearly, this tweet was fake.

But, the phrase did become a trending topic on Twitter and videos and such started popping up all over the Internet. A video claiming to show two gals shaving their heads at a Wisconsin radio station also circulated. Well, the video was real, but it was for a ticket contest in 2010, NOT two gals who fell for the hoax.

So, rest easy and put down the clippers, Beliebers. Justin Bieber is just fine.
