Justin Bieber rep says laptop was really stolen

After Justin Bieber released a video for his latest single, Beaty and a Beat with Nicki Minaj, many believed that it proved that his tweets about a stolen laptop and camera were just a PR stunt. However, Biebers rep now says that his property was really stolen.

The drama started earlier this week when Bieber said his property was stolen during a show at the Tacoma Dome in Washington state. Then was some sites called a nude photo of Bieber leaked, followed by a Twitter user threatening to relase more footage.

When Nicki Minaj tweeted that she and Bieber had a surprise on Friday, suddenly the whole thing looked suspiciously like a PR stunt and an elaborate prank. When the video was released, that seemed to confirm it.

But Bieber publicist Melissa Victor says otherwise. In a statement to The Associated Press, she wrote, Be very clear, the laptop was indeed stolen in Tacoma. That was NOT a hoax.

She would not answer questions about the Twitter account, the video and their connection to the theft. The Twitter user, @gexwy did not respond to the APs request for comment.

While Bieber fans may be happy that he has a new video out, the city of Tacoma is not.

A lot of people got played, Tacoma police sp! okesman Mark Fulghum told the Tacoma News Tribune. It became a big media frenzy, so I guess that was the idea.

Heres the video, which is already up to 5 million views:
