J ustin Bieber is denying to friends that he ever had sex with Mariah Yeater the 20-year-old woman who claims her 3-month-old baby was fathered by the pop superstar during a backstage, post-concert tryst last fall and has tweeted Im going to ignore the rumors and focus on what is real.

However, a source close to the music sensation says the young singer is upset that Yeaters paternity lawsuit filing is taking away the focus he wants on his just-released holiday album.

This is so unfair, said the source. Justin is simply being targeted because of his fame. While unfortunately its the kind of thing that comes with stardom today, this is only going to make Justin more gun-shy and could lead him to become more isolated from the public.

Its a terrible shame.

Biebers attorneys have called the allegations made by Yeater malicious, defamatory and demonstrably false.

As first reported by Star magazine, Yeater filed the lawsuit Monday in Los Angeles. In her handwritten declaration, the single mother alleged she hooked up with Bieber Oct. 25, 2010, in a backstage bathroom in L.A. further claiming that the Canadian singer lost his virginity in the encounter.

Biebers spokesman flatly denied all of Yeaters charges, adding the singers legal team will vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to defend and protect Justin against these allegations.

Along with promoting his new Christmas CD, Bieber is slated to be in Northern I! reland o n Sunday to receive one of the inaugural MTV Voices awards at the MTV Europe Video Awards in Belfast. The award recognizes his charitable work, which has raised millions for various non-profit organizations around the world.

In her statement accompanying her filing, Yeater said, When I later realized I was pregnant with Justin Biebers baby, I tried to contact him through his representatives, but no one ever called me back.

Her son was born July 6, and Yeater claims she did not have sex with anyone besides Bieber after that 2010 hookup.

According to Biebers camp, the setup for his concerts made it impossible for him to have been alone with Yeater or anyone else for such an intimate assignation.

A hearing is slated to be scheduled for later this year.

GOSSIP GRIST: Among the rumors flying in the wake of Kim Kardashians split with Kris Humphries is the tale she may re-connect with ex-beau Reggie Bush something her camp is denying (but then they also denied those divorce rumors, too!)

I got [so] caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show, she writes, that when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didnt know how to and didnt want to disappoint a lot of people. Money from wedding gifts, she added, will be donated to the Dream Foundation charity for people with terminal illnesses.
