Why Justin Bieber Shouldn't Have His Paternity Test Results Revealed on 'Maury'

Justin Bieber probably shouldn't reveal anything on Maury.

The Justin Bieber "baby daddy" drama continues! As if it isn't enough that he has to take a paternity test to shoot down claims that he fathered a child, the producers of "Maury" want him to do it on their show! A "Maury" spokesperson has said that having Maury Povich announce that Bieber isn't the father of Mariah Yeater's son, the world would be more likely to believe it. There's no denying that people trust Povich, but here are three reasons Justin shouldn't agree to have his paternity test results revealed on television.

It could be embarrassing

Let's just imagine for a second that Mariah Yeater isn't lying. The 17-year-old singer and his spokespeople have spent much time denying the rumors, so if the DNA test results show that he is indeed the father, he is going to face a huge amount of humiliation. Of course, even if the results weren't aired on TV, it would be a blow for the star but it would be far worse if his fans could actually see his reaction for themselves.

Is it an attempt at a ratings boost at the expense of a young man?

The executive producer of "Maury" has admitted that it would be a "huge TV event" if Bieber agreed to go on the show. No doubt millions would tune in to find out the truth about Yeater's claims. Although the "Baby" singer is used to dealing with the pressures of fame, it might be a little extreme to announce something so life-altering in the public eye. No matter how big a celebrity he is, he is still very young, and this is the kind of publicity he doesn't need.

Nobody really thinks he's the father

If we a! ll take a moment to consider Yeater's story, it makes very little sense. Ask anyone what they think, and it's very likely that they will say the Biebs is completely innocent. By that standard, do we really need validation from Povich? Justin's fans are already behind him, and if he says he isn't the father, that will probably be enough to keep them happy.
