Justin Bieber Paternity Lawsuit Dismissed: Report

Mariah Yeater, the 20-year-old woman who has publicly claimed that Justin Bieber is the father of her child, has reportedly dismissed her paternity lawsuit against the pop star.

According TMZ, the lawsuit against Bieber was dismissed late last week, and Yeater's lawyers, Lance Rogers and Matt Pare, have withdrawn from the case. Yeater had previously claimed that she and Bieber had had a brief sexual encounter after one of his concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles last fall. Yeater gave birth to a son, Tristyn, in July, and was seeking child support for the infant.

After Bieber was hit with the paternity suit earlier this month, a representative said that the pop star planned to take a paternity test when he returned to the U.S. later this month. Bieber's team also planned to "vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to protect Justin."

A rep for Bieber was unavailable for comment.

The paternity lawsuit has not slowed down Bieber fever at all: "Under The Mistletoe," the singer's first holiday full-length, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart last week, selling 210,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. However, the suit has proven perfect fodder for late-night comedians; check out Jimmy Fallon's rendition of "That's Not My Baby," a parody of Bieber's hit "Baby," below.
