Paternity Suit Against Justin Bieber Dropped

The 20-year-old woman who claimed Justin Bieber fathered her 4-month-old child has dropped her paternity suit, TMZ reports.

Mariah Yeater quietly decided against pursuing the case last week. TMZ further reported that Yeater's lawyers, Lance Rogers and Matt Pare, have quit the case.

Two weeks ago, Yeater slapped the 17-year-old pop star with a lawsuit, claiming that she and Bieber had sex backstage after his show in Los Angeles, resulting in the birth of her son, Tristyn.

Early last week, the Canadian singer announced plans to take a DNA test upon his return to the United States in two weeks. He also said he'd be suing Yeater once the test results come back to show the consequences of such allegations.

During a brief appearance on the Today show nearly two weeks ago, Bieber said: "To set the record straight, none of it is true. I know I'm going to be a target, but I'm never going to be a victim. It's crazy, because every night after the show I've gone right from the stage right to my car."
