JUSTIN Bieber is among international artists said to be in talks with the producers of The Voice about making an appearance on the show in upcoming weeks.
While the program's format currently doesn't provide an opening for celebrity appearances, Confidential hears that format is set to change as the series develops and the contestant numbers thin out between now and late June.
Yesterday a Nine Network representative confirmed producers are looking at "opportunities for guest artists" but stopped short of confirming Bieber was booked on a plane to Sydney.

"The format has opportunities for guest artist performance in a show down the track," a Nine spokeswoman said last night. "Producers are in discussions with a number of people about who that might be."
There were widespread rumours that Bieber would be flying into Australia last week to start his 2012 Australian tour but for reasons unknown that tour has not got off the ground despite a massive groundswell of support for the young singer.
Industry sources said the young Canadian is still hard at work on a new album and suggested his Believe tour would happen later in the year. Universal Music representatives were not contactable yesterday.
"A trip to Australia in the next two months could serve as a nifty promotional tour ahead of the actual tour," the source said. "It would be a smart move."
TV insiders said The Voice is a program for which the ratings typically decline after the initial excitement fades.
And those massive ratings are an intoxicating enticement for any music industry executive who is looking to promote some overseas talent locally.
"Bieber is a tonic for any television show. Look what he did for Sunrise on Seven. The Voice's producers know that," they said.
