An insider tells HollywoodLife.com that while Justin was in NYC working on his upcoming album he dropped some serious cash on some trippy art is it for his new LA mansion?

Justin Bieber has quite the eye. The 18-year-old popstar is solely focused on amassing a massive sneaker collection, he has become an art collector. A source tells HollywoodLife.com that Justin picked up some art in NYCs Lower East Side neighborhood last week.

Justin just spent $60,000 dollars on a painting by Holton Rower, the source says. Justin doesnt want to just spend his money on frivolous items he wants to collect things, especially for his new house.

Holton Rower is a famous painter who is known for pour painting that look like psychedelic pieces that have gotten the attention of lots of celebs.

We wonder if Justins girlfriend Selena Gomez has helped give input on his new pad! We bet he really misses her, shes in Bulgaria shooting a new movie right now!
